CREATIVE DESIGNER & STRATEGIST

A lifelong creative who took a hot minute to realize design is what I’m best at.

I was born and raised in the mountains, and my family lineage is in the Pacific Islands, so it’s no surprise my main creative inspiration comes from the outdoors. But more than just natural beauty, it’s about the unique connections these places foster between those lucky enough to visit them, love them, or call them home.

Like many creatives, my design journey started in a funny place. Sticker books turned into obsessively customizing my MySpace profile. That, in turn, led to high school design classes and the desire to become a professional designer. But “the industry is dying,” or so I was told, and I put that dream on hold.

A few international trips and gap years later, I found myself running a travel blog. I designed the brand, built the site, took the photos, etc. That led to my network of small business owners reaching out for help, and I fell into the world of strategy, positioning, and marketing. From there, things grew.

Along the way I earned degrees in journalism and strategic communications, and invaluable experience in photography, video, and social — but I always come back to strategy and design. It’s what I love and where I make the most impact.

I’m proud that clients often tell me I just get it — that I can take an idea and turn it into something clear, thoughtful, and full of life.
